About Moose
Alces Alces aka Moose
Weighing on average 1,000 pounds and living 10-12 years on average but up to 20 years, the Moose is a trophy animal in anyones book. The meat a single Moose can provide will fill several freezers.
New Hampshire provides some of the best odds in the US for winning a coveted "Moose Tag" in its annual lottery. the NH Fish and Game links to the left can start you on your way to applying for the lottery and if your lucky, you too may win one of the tags.
Winning a tag in the State lottery is only the beginning. The Moose season is very short (in 2008 the season was October 20-28th) and to find and successfully hunt a Moose takes much preparation and planning-not to mention lots of scouting at prime times for Black Flies and Mosquitos!!!
Shoot-A-Hare Guide Service can provide you with the edge you need to successfully fill your tag without breaking the bank and save you time in scouting prime Moose habitat. Should you win a coverted Moose tag and want to increase your success chances, contact us (see "contact us" below) and we can provide you with options to increase your chance of success with either our full guide services or partially guided hunts.
